How to tie it
Slide the tungsten bead onto the hook, secure it in the vise, and take seven or eight touching wraps of solder wire behind the bead; helicopter to break it off.
Open a small gap behind the bead, skim super glue on the bare shank, then push the wire wraps forward tight into the back of the bead and hold until set.
Start black thread behind the wire, take a few wraps, snip the tag, then cover the wire up to the bead and back down behind the wraps.
Bind a length of fine silver wire along the near side of the shank well down into the bend, then return the thread to the front.
Tie in two or three strands of hollow silver Flashabou, bind them into the bend, then advance the thread to the bead.
Wrap the Flashabou forward in touching to slightly overlapping turns to cover the thread; tie it off behind the bead and trim.
Counter-wrap the silver wire forward in seven or eight open spirals to rib the body; secure behind the bead and helicopter off.
Snip a short segment of white Z-lon, tie it on top behind the bead, then pull it back and trim even with the back of the hook bend to form a short emergent wing.
Whip finish with five or six turns behind the bead and add a drop of head cement over the wraps.
