Classic Recipe

• Hook Standard dry fly, 2x long, 10-14
• Thread Yellow/tan 6/0

Materials

• Body Yellow dubbing (tapered, thick)
• Wing Mottled turkey quill (tent)
• Head Natural deer hair (spun and clipped flat)

How to tie it

1. Mount hook, dub full yellow body
2. Tie in turkey quill section as tent wing
3. Spin deer hair head, clip flat on bottom
4. Whip finish

Substitutions

• Wing instead of Turkey quill + deer hair: Mottled Thin Skin under deer hair — Durable underwing
• Body instead of Yellow dubbing: Tan/gold Sparkle Dubbing — Adds a little shine
