Slide a chartreuse bead onto a #14 curved pupa hook and start the fluorescent chartreuse thread in front of the bead.
Tie in a small clump of white Para Post in front of the bead as gills, set it perpendicular, and trim to about a bead-length on each side; whip finish the gills and snug the bead back against them.
Restart the thread behind the bead and wrap to the bend; tie in a strand of Uni-Flex at the bend, trimming the tip under tension to keep the butt slim.
Tie in a length of small red holographic tinsel at the bend.
Build a slightly tapered thread underbody up the shank, then spiral the red tinsel forward as an evenly spaced rib and tie it off behind the bead.
Wrap the Uni-Flex forward, tight on the first turns so the red shows through and easing off toward the front to keep the taper; tie off behind the bead.
Coat the whole body top and bottom with a thin layer of UV resin, work it smooth, and cure it.
Dub a small thorax collar of UV shrimp-pink Ice Dub behind the bead, tied in the round to suggest wing buds.
