Slide a 3mm black/orange crackle slotted tungsten bead onto the jig hook and mount it. Start black 14/0 thread behind the bead and build a small thread wedge to lock the bead in place, then wrap back to the last straight part of the shank and forward again.
Tie in a short length of medium black holographic tinsel behind the bead, wrap back over it to the thread base and forward again, then wrap the tinsel forward in smooth, even turns for the body and tie off.
Tie in a black micro pine-squirrel strip on top of the shank behind the bead, hide-side down so it rides point-up as a jig, leaving the tail about twice the shank length.
Tie in a black ostrich herl by the base with the inside edge leading, and wrap it as a dense collar up to the back of the bead; tie off and trim.
Wet and sweep the fibers back, build a small thread neck behind the bead and whip finish; apply head cement with the wet-wrap trick to keep it off the ostrich.
