How to tie it
- Wax the thread and start it behind the eye. Wind to the bend.
- Tie in a short tail of two light olive goose biots, one each side.
- Tie in a length of 1 mm clear stretch beading elastic at the bend.
- Stretch the elastic as you wind it up the hook so the body tapers. Tie off behind the eye.
- Colour the top of the body with an olive marker.
- Tie in a strip of holographic tinsel on top for a flashback.
- Tie in a few olive pheasant tail fibres on top. Their front ends will become the legs.
- Dub a dark green peacock-dyed thorax. Bring the legs back along each side and secure them evenly.
- Fold the pheasant tail forward over the thorax and tie it off. Fold the flashback over and finish.
- Touch the back with olive and a little red marker, add varnish to the head and clear the eye.
