Body Yellow mcflylon (Mad Rabbit dubbing)

Bead Copper bead (4mm tungsten)
How to tie it
Slide a 4mm copper tungsten bead onto the jig hook, seat it at the eye, and start yellow thread behind it to lock the bead.
Run the thread to the bend, tie in a strip of Perdigon Skin (PSMF1) for the rib, and take the thread back forward.
Dub a body of yellow Mad Rabbit forward to the 70% mark. La Peute is a yellow fly at heart. That hot yellow body is the pattern's signature and the reason it works in coloured water.
Rib with four or five open turns of Perdigon Skin. The stretchy skin flattens as you wrap and lays down smooth, translucent segmentation that wire cannot reproduce.
Tie a mallard hen body feather in by the tip behind the bead, good side forward, and take two turns as a soft hackle, stroking the barbs back. Hen mallard is soft and mobile, and it carries all the movement in a fly with no tail.
Secure and whip finish behind the bead, then pick a few dubbing fibres out through the hackle so collar and body blend instead of sitting as two separate blocks.
