How to tie it
Lay a GSP thread base along the 25mm shank, then run the small intruder wire through the rear loop and bind both tags forward along the shank so the size 4 trailer hook rides just past the back of the dressing. GSP is used here because it will not cut on the wire the way a standard nylon thread can.
Add six to eight wraps of.025 lead-free wire over the middle of the shank and push them to the front, then wrap the pearl flat diamond braid from the rear of the shank forward over the wire to the 60% mark. The braid smooths the step at the lead and gives a flashy underbody.
Dub a short berry microflash collar in front of the braid, picking the fibers out so the hot colour bleeds through the wing rather than sitting as a hard band.
Tie in a sparse pearl lateral scale underwing over the top, then a clump of white salty craft fur about a shank and a half long, brushing out the underfur first. Removing that fluff is what keeps craft fur from matting into a solid slab on the swing.
Build the head by tying in a pinch of pearl purple angel hair, then a second, shorter clump of white craft fur reversed and folded back over itself to form a bullet-shaped collar that pushes water on the swing.
Set the 7mm fl. super pearl epoxy eyes on the sides of the head and figure-eight them down firmly, then whip finish in front.
Coat the thread head with Bone Dry for a hard shell and use the flexible resin around the eyes and wire wraps, so the joint stays supple while the head stays glassy.
