Materials

  • Marabou Black marabou (1 slim plume, wing/tail)
  • Fluoro floss / holographic tinsel UV orange fluoro floss holographic tinsel (butt tag)
  • Holographic tinsel Black holographic tinsel (body)
  • UV flash Orange holographic tinsel (few strands, cheeks)

How to tie it

  1. Start thread and run a base back to the bend.
  2. Tie in a sparse black marabou wing/tail one shank long.
  3. At the bend add a short butt tag of fluoro UV-orange floss or holographic tinsel as the hotspot.
  4. Bind in black holographic tinsel and wind a slim body forward to the 80% mark.
  5. Tie a few strands of UV orange flash as short cheeks along each side.
  6. Whip a small black head and varnish.
