Start the tan thread on a #16 curved emerger hook and wrap a base to the bend.
Tie in a loose loop of cinnamon Antron sparkle yarn at the bend, leaving it shaggy so it forms a translucent, bubble-trapping abdomen sack over the rear two-thirds of the shank.
Fold the Antron back over itself to build the loose 'mop' sack and tie it down at about the 65% point; trim the excess.
Dub a scratchy thorax of brown/peacock dubbing from the abdomen up to just behind the eye and pick it out.
Stack a small bundle of natural elk hair, measure it to the end of the abdomen, and tie it in as a down-wing over the thorax; trim the butts.
Build a small thread head, whip finish, and cement.
