How to tie it
Start on a 30-45 mm shank with Large bead chain eyes mounted at the front for a little weight but not much; the fly is meant to stay light and wiggly.
Body 1: flatten a strand of Krinklezon uv black, straighten its edges, tie it in at the rear and wrap it forward as the body. Bind it down with a couple of collecting wraps and pick off any stragglers.
Body 2: tie in the purple Hydro hackle first, then loosely noodle-dub Solar flare (lavender) ahead of it so the front section is not packed tight. Fold everything back and pull tight so the hydro sinks into the dubbing, which stands it up. Tie off and tidy.
Lay Purple Flashabou on top, lash it down, then bring it around the underside for a 360-degree spread. Measure it to about the shank loop.
Stack the Kilowatt Pinkle, taper it, measure to about the length of the loop and cut it square. Pinch wrap it on, pull out stragglers, and lash down.
Rip-stack a short section of Solar Flare in UV plum and dub a small head with it.
Take a healthy pinch of black Deer Hair, trim the butts, measure it about the same length as the dubbing head and spin it: one firm pull, a second, a third, then switch hands and distribute the hair as you pull. Secure and push it up in front of the eyes.
Throw a few half hitches, hit them with UV cure, and trim the deer hair tight.
