Thread White for the body, black for the head 140 denier
Materials
Flat tinsel body Pearl (holographic) flash (One strand, size large)
Peacock herl Natural peacock herl (Two or three strands for a short thorax)
Krystal Flash Pearl flashabou (Six strands)
Marabou wing Olive (green or any color works; tied here in Kelly green) (One medium to large tuft)
Head cement Clear head cement (One drop)
How to tie it
Pinch the barb, start white thread behind the eye and lay a full base of white thread all the way back to the bend, covering the hook color, then take loose open wraps back up to about the front fifth of the shank.
Tie in the large pearl tinsel at the front fifth, then wrap the thread back over it in close turns to the rear to add more white underbody.
Wrap the tinsel forward in touching turns to the tie-in point, catch it off, and whip finish the white thread there so you can change colors.
Start black thread at the front, tie in two or three strands of peacock herl and bind them back far enough to leave room for the flash and wing, then wrap the herl forward to the thread and tie off.
Tie in six strands of pearl Krystal Flash on top, folding the near-side strands back to keep them on top of the hook, and trim them to just past the bend of the hook.
Tie in a good tuft of marabou on top as the wing, ending at about the same length as the flash. Cord the thread up by spinning it clockwise and put a few tight wraps in before trimming the butts.
Build a generous streamer head with the 140 denier thread, burying all the trimmed butts, and whip finish toward the back of the head.
