Start yellow thread behind the eye and lay a smooth base to the bend.
Tie in a small bunch of yellow grizzly saddle fibers and divide them into a short, split V-tail about half a shank long.
Tie in the three Super Hair strands (two yellow, one red) at the thorax (60% mark) and bind them down to the tail tie-in point.
Wrap all three strands forward together in touching turns to build a tapered, segmented yellow abdomen; the red strand rides as a rib. Tie off at 60% and trim.
Coat the abdomen with a thin layer of clear UV resin and cure.
Tie in a small clump of pale Fluoro Fiber forward over the eye for the wing case; Craven uses fluoro fiber here because it flashes less and keeps the eye on the body.
Build a small yellow thorax with thread, fold the fluoro fiber back over it, tie down, and clip a few tips short as legs.
