Slotted tungsten bead Black or copper slotted tungsten bead (1, 2.0-2.5mm)

Hen hackle or partridge Black hen hackle (1 feather)
How to tie it
Seat the slotted bead against the eye and start thread behind it.
At the rear third of the shank, dub a tight, glossy black ball for the rear gaster; keep it small and distinct. An ant is two beads with a waist.
Advance the bare thread forward to create a pinched waist, then wrap 2-3 turns of fluorescent orange as a thin hot-spot collar in the middle for a strike trigger.
Dub a second black ball just behind the bead for the head segment, matching or slightly smaller than the rear.
Wind one sparse turn of black hen hackle between the two humps as legs, then sweep the fibers down and back.
Whip finish behind the bead and add a tiny drop of cement.
