How to tie it
Start 18/0 thread about a third of the way back from the jig head and mount 6 mm silver 3D eyes on top with figure-eight wraps and cement. On a jig hook the eyes go on top because the fly rides inverted.
Comb each clump of Polar Fibre and trim close to the base to get full-length fibers before mounting. Tie a white tail wing underneath, pearl Shimmer Fringe on top, then blue Polar Fibre slightly longer.
Spin silver Ice Dub in a split thread, brush it out thoroughly, thinning the bulk around the twisted thread is what keeps the collars slim, and wrap it forward to the eyes.
Add white Polar Fibre underneath and on both sides, then a charcoal grey back wing split around the shank, trim the butts flush, cement and add a second silver Ice Dub collar wrapped between the eyes.
Add a shorter white belly and charcoal grey back in front of the eyes, then gather everything and lock the fibers top, bottom and sides behind the eyes with a dozen wraps.
Set pink Shimmer Fringe along each side at the collar and half a dozen wetted silver Flashabou strands, then overwrap with red thread, cement and epoxy the collar.
Ahead of the collar add a pearl Ice Dub head collar, a last short white/grey/blue wing block, silver badger hackles on each side and six peacock herl tips split three per side over the top. Epoxy the head once dry.
