Marabou Black or olive marabou (1 plume for tail)
Flash Pearl or Krystal Flash (few strands)
Chenille Black or olive chenille (medium, 1 length)
Saddle hackle Black or olive saddle hackle (1 feather)
Copper wire Copper wire (fine, for counter-rib)
How to tie it
Slide a slotted tungsten bead onto the jig hook and seat it against the eye; mount in the vise.
Start thread behind the bead and wrap a base to the bend.
Tie in a marabou plume at the bend for a tail one shank length long, then add a few strands of flash over it.
Tie in a saddle hackle by its tip and a length of fine copper wire at the bend.
Tie in the chenille, then advance the thread to just behind the bead.
Wrap the chenille forward in touching turns and tie it off behind the bead.
Palmer the hackle forward in even open turns to the bead, then counter-wrap the copper wire through the hackle to lock it and tie off; helicopter or break away the wire tag.
