- Hook wet/scud hook, #12-14
- Thread Black 8/0
Materials
- Shellback Pearl/holographic flash (1 strip)
- Body dubbing Olive/tan body dubbing
- Wire rib Copper wire
- Oar legs Pheasant tail or goose biot (2)
How to tie it
- Start thread and lay a base along the shank.
- Tie in a strip of pearl flashback and a length of fine wire at the rear.
- Dub a fat oval body forward to just behind the eye.
- Pull the flashback strip over the top and secure behind the eye.
- Counter-rib the wire over the back in 4-5 turns to segment; tie off and trim.
- Tie in one fibre swept back along each side as the oar-like legs.
- Whip finish behind the eye.
