Tyer Recipe

  • Hook streamer hook, #8-12
  • Thread White 8/0

Materials

  • Body Pearl mylar tubing/braid
  • Wing/flash Pearl flash or white (sparse)
  • Egg yolk sac Fluorescent orange egg sac (small ball)
  • Eyes Stick-on or painted (1 pair)

How to tie it

  1. Start thread and tie in pearl mylar tubing or braid to form a slim body along the shank.
  2. Add a sparse over-wing of pearl flash or white fibres.
  3. Form a small orange yolk sac at the throat, behind the eye, to imitate the alevin's egg.
  4. Add stick-on or painted eyes at the head.
  5. Whip finish.
