Thread Fluorescent orange for the body, black for the head 140 denier orange, 70 denier black
Materials
Holographic tinsel, medium Black holographic tinsel (One 3 in. length for the rib)
Hen soft hackle Grizzly (or any dark soft hackle) (One feather, 1.5-2 turns)
UV resin Clear uv resin (Enough to coat the body and the head)
How to tie it
Start fluorescent orange 140 denier thread behind the eye and cover the shank back around the bend to where you want the body to end.
Tie in the medium black holographic tinsel at the rear and pull the tag short.
Wrap a second layer of orange thread forward and back to thicken and brighten the body. The resin will smooth over any cording or unevenness.
Wind the tinsel rib forward in fairly open turns so plenty of orange shows between them, and tie it off.
Build a slightly fatter orange thorax at the front, then whip finish the orange thread.
Lay a bead of clear UV resin over the whole body, spread it evenly (spin the vise if you can), and cure it for 15-20 seconds.
Attach black 70 denier thread just ahead of the orange thorax and wrap forward a little to make room for the hackle.
Tie in a grizzly hen soft hackle at the back of the head, take a few wraps down the stem to secure it, then take one and a half to two gentle turns with spring hackle pliers and tie off. Sparse, not spidery.
Sweep all the fibers back and build a generous nymph head, going as far back as you need to lay the fibers down. Whip finish.
Add a little more UV resin over the head and cure to harden it.
