Legs Rubber/Spanflex legs, olive (or black). Same as tail (2 strands)
Thorax CDC dubbing, olive (or black). Natural CDC fibers blended into dubbing for movement (pinch)
How to tie it
Slide the black slotted tungsten bead onto the hook, slot forward, and seat it behind the up-turned eye.
Start the olive thread behind the bead and lay a smooth base back to the point above the barb.
Tie in two short strands of olive rubber legs at the bend so they trail as a split tail about half a shank length long; these are the durable, indestructible tails.
Tie in the copper wire at the tail and leave it hanging.
Build a slim, smooth, slightly tapered abdomen with the olive thread from the tail to about the 60% point.
Wrap the copper wire forward over the thread abdomen in 5-6 evenly spaced open turns to segment it, then tie off and helicopter (twist) to break the excess.
Tie in two more strands of olive rubber legs, one on each side at the 60% point, so they splay outward as legs; trim to about a shank length.
Dub a small, buggy olive CDC-dubbing thorax from the legs up to the bead. The CDC fibers give the thorax extra breathing movement.
Whip finish behind the bead and add a drop of head cement.
