Reference Recipe

• Hook 2XL streamer hook, 8-12
• Thread Black 6/0

Materials

• Bead Gold tungsten bead (One, sized to hook)
• Tail Black or olive marabou (One plume)
• Flash Pearl or gold flash (A few strands)
• Body Gold/pearl holographic tinsel or chenille (Short length)
• Hackle Black or olive saddle (One feather)

How to tie it

1. Slide the gold bead to the eye and start the thread behind it.
2. At the bend tie in a marabou tail one shank length long and add a few strands of flash.
3. Tie in a saddle hackle by the tip and a length of holographic tinsel or chenille at the base of the tail.
4. Wrap the body forward in touching turns to just behind the bead and tie off.
5. Palmer the hackle forward over the body in 5-6 open turns, tie off behind the bead and snip the tip.
6. Whip finish behind the bead and cement.
