  • Hook 2XL streamer/lure hook, 8-10
  • Thread Black 6/0

Materials

  • Bead/head Gold tungsten bead (One, sized to hook)
  • Tail Black marabou (One plume)
  • Tail flash Pearl or gold flash (A few strands)
  • Body Gold or pearl holographic tinsel/chenille (Short length)
  • Hackle Black hen or cock (One feather)

How to tie it

  1. Slide the gold bead to the eye and start the thread behind it.
  2. At the bend tie in a black marabou tail one shank length long and add a few strands of flash over it.
  3. Tie in holographic tinsel or sparkle chenille at the base of the tail.
  4. Wrap the body forward in touching turns to just behind the bead and tie off.
  5. Wind a black hackle in 2-3 turns behind the bead as a collar and sweep the fibers back.
  6. Whip finish behind the bead and add a drop of cement.
