How to tie it
Seat a silver slotted tungsten bead behind the eye of the jig hook (slot forward). Add a few turns of lead-free wire behind the bead if extra weight is wanted, then start black thread.
Tie in 6-8 red coq de leon fibers at the bend for a tail about half a shank-length long, then bind the butts forward.
Tie in a strand of red wire at the bend for the rib. This bright 'hot rib' is what distinguishes this version from the standard Duracell.
Dub a slim body of Starling UV Ice Dub from the bend forward to about the 70% point.
Rib the body with 5-6 evenly spaced open turns of the red wire and helicopter off the excess, the red wire segments and adds an attractor flash.
Tie in a black CDC feather by the tip just behind the bead and take one turn (or use a CDC loop) to make a soft dark collar; stroke back and tie off.
Build a small thread head behind the bead, whip finish and cement.
