Slide the Orange Brass Bead onto the Tiemco 200R and seat it at the eye. Wrap a length of 010" Lead Wire along the shank behind the bead as an underbody.
Measure a clump of Claret Marabou to the length of the straight portion of the shank and bind it in on top of the shank at the rear. Once several wraps have it secure, snip the excess and cover the butts.
Take two strands of Red Krystal Flash, lay them along one side of the hook and bind them down. Wrap forward, then double the spare length back over so it lies along the far side, and bind that down too. Trim the flash to roughly the length of the tail.
Tie in the Wine UNI Mohair at the rear and take the thread all the way forward to the bead.
Wrap the mohair forward one turn in front of the other. As you wrap, draw the fibres out with your fingers so you trap as few as possible; draw out as many as you can at the front so plenty of fibres stand around the head.
Bind the mohair off right behind the bead, snip the rope, and whip finish behind the bead.
Comb the body out with a dubbing brush. Give it a haircut so the longest fibres hang back only a little past the tail and the bulk of the fibres stand up and around the fly for the halo effect.
