- Hook streamer/wet (4x long), 8-12
- Thread black 6/0
Materials
- flat tinsel (body) Silver oval tinsel (one length)
- bucktail or calftail (underwing) Yellow bucktail (small bunch)
- mallard flank (wing) Natural mallard flank (2 feathers)
- jungle cock (cheeks, optional) Natural jungle cock (2)
- hackle (collar) Grizzly hackle (1)
How to tie it
- Start thread and wrap a smooth flat silver tinsel body from the 70% mark back to the bend and forward again; tie off at the 70% mark.
- Tie in a small bunch of yellow bucktail flat over the back as the underwing, reaching the bend.
- Tie a mallard flank feather along each side, curving inward and tented over the body, tips to the bend.
- Add a small jungle cock eye on each side as a cheek (optional).
- Tie in a grizzly hackle and wrap a collar of 3-4 turns; sweep the fibers back.
- Whip finish and cement.
