How to tie it
Start the thread at the bend and tie in a short tan marabou tail about half a shank long.
Bind in gold wire and a mottled feather slip at the bend, leaving both hanging.
Dub a fat, tapered golden-tan abdomen to the 60% mark, picking the underside shaggy to suggest gills, then counter-rib with 5-6 open turns of gold wire and tie off.
Dub a fuller thorax forward to the 85% mark.
Pull the mottled slip over the thorax as a wing case, bind it down, and sweep a few partridge fibers along each side as legs.
