Moose body hair Dark moose body hair (3 fibers for tails)
Deer hair Natural deer hair (1 clump for wing)
Dry-fly hackle Grizzly hackle (1 feather)
How to tie it
Cut a foam strip about a hook-gap wide and tie it in at the bend with the tag extending rearward as an extended body one shank length past the bend; a few tight thread cinches segment it.
Split 2-3 moose fibers as tails off the foam tip.
Bring the thread to the hook and bind the front of the foam strip down along the shank to the 70% mark.
Stack a clump of deer hair and tie it upright as a wing about one shank length tall.
Tie in a grizzly hackle behind the wing and take 4-6 turns through the thorax, then secure and trim.
