How to tie it
- Start the thread at the bend and split-tie 3 moose fibers as long, widely splayed tails, over one shank length long.
- Dub a slim, tapered pale-yellow body from the bend forward to the 65% mark.
- Tie in a length of white poly yarn across the shank and figure-8 it into flat, outstretched spent wings, one shank length per side.
- Optionally take 2-3 turns of grizzly hackle at the wing base, then trim top and bottom so the wings stay flat in the film.
- Dub a slim thorax forward to the eye, then whip finish and cement the head.
