Materials
- Plated dumbbell eyes Nickel/black dumbbell eyes (small)

- SLF dubbing Match squirrel (body)
- Pine squirrel fur (dubbing loop) Match squirrel (collar)
How to tie it
- Lash small plated dumbbell eyes near the front of the jig hook with tight figure-8 wraps so the fly rides hook-point-up.
- At the bend, tie in a pine-squirrel zonker strip for the tail, about one shank long, flesh-side down.
- Dub a slim body of matching SLF dubbing forward to the midpoint.
- Fold or palmer the squirrel strip forward over the back to just behind the eyes and tie it down, keeping the profile slim.
- Spin a pinch of pine squirrel in a dubbing loop and wrap a sparse collar behind the eyes.
- Build a small thread head around the eyes, whip finish, and cement.
