How to tie it

  1. On the rear hook, tie in a rabbit zonker strip for the tail about one and a half shanks long, and add a few strands of flash to each side.
  2. Tie in a second zonker strip by the tip and palmer it forward to the eye, stroking the fur back each wrap; whip finish and cement the rear section.
  3. Connect the rear hook to the front shank with a doubled loop of heavy wire (or braid) run through a couple of beads, and lash the wire down firmly along the top of the front shank.
  4. Lash lead dumbbell eyes near the front eye with tight figure-8 wraps.
  5. At the rear of the front shank, tie in and palmer another rabbit zonker strip forward to just behind the eyes, keeping the profile leechy and slim.
  6. Add a soft schlappen or marabou collar and a Sili Leg on each side for movement.
  7. Build a dubbed head around the eyes, whip finish, and cement.
