How to tie it
Lay a thread base to the bend. Tie in two medium-dun Microfibetts split into a V (a tiny ball of dubbing at the bend helps splay them), each about one shank length long.
Tie in one olive-dyed turkey biot at the tail, notch up, and wrap forward in touching turns to the 65% point for a slim, segmented, tapered abdomen.
Stack two dun CDC feathers tip-to-tip and tie them in upright at the 65% point as a single bunched wing about one shank length tall. This CDC wing replaces hackle for flotation, making it a 'no-hackle' dun.
Dub a sparse BWO Superfine thorax, figure-eighting it around and in front of the wing to lock the wing upright.
Whip finish behind the eye and cement the thread only.
