How to tie it
Slide a gold bead onto the hook small-hole first, seat it behind the eye, start thread, and lock the bead with 6-8 turns of lead-free wire pushed up into it.
Wrap to the bend and tie in a small clump of brown hackle fibers for a tail, one shank length long.
Tie in gold wire at the bend for the rib.
Dub a slim, tapered abdomen of hare's mask forward to the 60% mark.
Rib the gold wire forward in 5-6 open turns and helicopter off the tag.
Bind a strand of barred round rubber across the shank, figure-8ing so a leg kicks off each side at the thorax.
Dub a fat, scruffy hare's-ear thorax to the bead and pick out guard hairs for legs.
