- Hook 3XL streamer or jig, #8-12
- Thread Black 6/0
Materials
- Bead Black tungsten bead (1)
- Tail Black or olive material (marabou)
- Body Black or olive material (dubbing, coated)
- Rib Copper thorax stripe (fine wire)
- Flash Pearl flashabou (few strands)
How to tie it
- Slide a tungsten bead to the eye and mount the hook.
- Tie in a marabou tail one shank length long at the bend with a couple strands of flash.
- Tie in a length of fine copper wire at the bend.
- Dub a slim, smooth body forward to just behind the bead.
- Counter-wrap the copper wire forward in 5-6 open turns and tie off for a segmented rib.
- Whip finish behind the bead and clip.
- Coat the dubbed body with a thin layer of UV resin and cure it to a hard, durable, translucent shell.
