- Hook 3XL streamer or jig, #8-12
- Thread Black 6/0
Materials
- Bead Black tungsten bead (1)
- Tail Black ostrich herl (marabou)
- Body Orange permanent marker (chenille or dubbing)
- Body hackle Black hackle (1 saddle, palmered)
- Flash Orange holographic tinsel (few strands Krystal Flash)
How to tie it
- Slide a black tungsten bead to the eye and mount the hook.
- Start thread and tie in a black marabou tail one shank length long at the bend, with a few strands of orange flash.
- Tie in a black saddle hackle by the tip and a length of orange chenille at the bend.
- Wrap the chenille forward to just behind the bead to form the body.
- Palmer the black hackle forward over the body in 5-6 open turns and tie off behind the bead.
- Sweep the hackle fibers rearward and lock them with a few thread wraps.
- Whip finish behind the bead and clip.
