Start the light cahill thread mid-shank and lay a base to the bend.
Tie in two light dun Microfibbetts split into a V tail one shank length long.
Tie in a few PMD-colored marabou barbs at the bend, twist to a rope and wrap forward to the 60% point for a soft abdomen.
Tie in a short mono loop as an upright post at 60%; lock with three wraps, add a second loop and lock it down for a firm post.
Tie in the light dun hackle at the base of the post.
Dub a fatter PMD-colored Superfine thorax from the post forward to behind the eye.
Wind the hackle up the mono post 4-6 turns, fold the mono loop forward over the top of the hackle, and tie off behind the eye so the fibers cradle the thorax parachute-style.
