Slide the 3mm Tungsten Gold Bead onto the TMC 2487 and make seven wraps of .015 lead wire, shoving them up into the bead.
Start the olive thread just behind the lead and smooth the lead wraps by tying over them a few times.
Attach the Peacock Hurl right behind the lead wraps. If it is tied in tightly enough you can break the waste off clean.
Tie in the Pearl Crystal Flash and the 6x Tippet, then bind everything down to the bend of the hook, keeping it all on top of the shank.
Make a small noodle of Hairline Dubbing in Olive and build a tapered body up the shank, adding more as needed, stopping just shy of the bead. Pull out any guard hairs that stick out.
Dub a dark collar of Starburst Dubbing in Olive behind the bead.
Rib the Crystal Flash forward evenly, capture it at the head, and snip the waste.
Tie in the Baby Bug Back in Brown right behind the bead with a little slack, then pull it back and start a half wrap of the Tippet. Pull the bug back tight, take a wrap of tippet over the first flash wrap, adjust the bug back so it sits centred on top, and continue ribbing the tippet forward over each wrap of flash to the head. Capture and snip.
Pull the tag of the bug back rearward and take a few wraps in front of it, then pull it tight and snip. Pull the rear end tight and snip it, leaving a little sticking out. Snip the peacock tail short.
Dub a little more Starburst collar, then whip finish.
Apply a bit of Solarez Bone Dry UV Curing Resin with a bodkin and cure it with UV light. Trim the long Starburst fibers to tidy the collar.
