Rib Medium oval silver tinsel (4-6 turns (binds wing))
Body Green Antron body wool/yarn (wrapped)
Wing 2 green (matched) hackle feathers (tied Matuka-style along back)
Throat Dyed red hen hackle (1, wrapped as beard)
Cheeks Jungle cock eyes (1 per side (optional))
How to tie it
Tie in the oval silver rib at the bend, then wrap a smooth green Antron body forward to just behind the eye.
Pair two green hackle feathers back-to-back and strip the fibers from the lower edge where they'll sit on the body.
Lay the paired feathers flat along the top of the body as an upright wing (concave sides together) with the tips extending past the bend.
Spiral the oval tinsel rib forward in 4-6 turns, binding the wing DOWN to the body between the fiber clumps, this Matuka style stops the wing fouling on the hook.
Wrap a dyed-red hen hackle as a throat/beard under the head.
Tie in jungle cock eyes on each side of the head if desired, build a neat head, and whip finish.
The bound-down wing gives a continuous baitfish silhouette that undulates as one piece.
