Slide the copper Bead onto the Dai-Riki hook and start the Uni-Thread Camel behind it with as few wraps as possible; the whole fly depends on a slim profile.
Tie in four or five Pheasant Tail fibres as a tail about a shank long, holding them with two loose wraps.
Tie in the Micro Tubing Red, bind it back and forward to lock it, snip the excess, and take the thread up behind the bead.
Wrap the tubing forward, pulling it tight so it stays slim, one wrap right in front of the other, up to the bead. Bind it off and snip.
Tie in the Small Pearl Mylar wing case right behind the bead, keeping it on top of the shank, and wrap back over it about a quarter to a third of the shank.
Cut a short piece of Poly McFlyon White, split it in half, and keep it sparse (use half what you think you need). Figure-8 it across the top so the wing buds sit out to the sides like spinner wings; pinch and snip any stragglers.
Dub a sparse thorax of Ice Dub Olive Brown, figure-8ing over and under the wing buds and up behind the bead.
Fold the Mylar over the top, take a loose wrap or two behind the bead, then pull back on the Mylar and down on the thread to cinch it in tight. Whip finish and snip.
Gather the wing bud fibres and trim them close to the thorax, keeping both sides even.
