Slide a 3mm bead onto a 2XL size-12 hook and add about 20 turns of.015 lead wire, pushing it up behind the bead. Start black thread behind the lead, wrap over it, and secure.
Tie in two tan goose biots at the bend as a split tail about a shank length long (tie them curving apart so they split naturally), binding the butts forward to help cover the lead.
Tie in a length of fine silver/stainless wire on the side of the shank for the rib.
Tie in two peacock herls up by the bead, put a drop of superglue on the shank, and wind the herl forward to build the body up to the bead; tie off and trim.
Counter-wrap the silver wire rib forward with three or four turns through the herl, tie off, and helicopter off the excess.
Dub a thorax of dark olive crystal/Ice Dub behind the bead, leaving a little space.
Tie in a dark dun hen hackle by the tip, concave side toward the shank, wind two or three turns for a soft collar, tie off, and trim.
Whip finish, add head cement, and pick out the crystal dubbing a little.
