Materials
- Tail Brown hackle fibres (small bunch)
- Shellback Pheasant tail or goose fibres (1 section)
- Body Green dubbing or peacock herl
- Hackle collar Brown hackle (1)
How to tie it
- Start thread and tie in a short tail of brown hackle fibres at the bend.
- Tie in a section of pheasant-tail fibres at the bend for the back.
- Dub or wrap a green body over the rear two-thirds of the shank.
- Pull the back fibres forward over the top and tie down two-thirds up the shank (the half-back).
- Wrap a peacock or dubbed thorax in front of the tie-down.
- Wind a brown hackle collar; whip finish.
