  • Hook nymph hook, #10-14
  • Thread Black 8/0

Materials

  • Tail Brown hackle fibres (small bunch)
  • Shellback Pheasant tail or goose fibres (1 section)
  • Body Green dubbing or peacock herl
  • Hackle collar Brown hackle (1)

How to tie it

  1. Start thread and tie in a short tail of brown hackle fibres at the bend.
  2. Tie in a section of pheasant-tail fibres at the bend for the back.
  3. Dub or wrap a green body over the rear two-thirds of the shank.
  4. Pull the back fibres forward over the top and tie down two-thirds up the shank (the half-back).
  5. Wrap a peacock or dubbed thorax in front of the tie-down.
  6. Wind a brown hackle collar; whip finish.
