How to tie it
Start thread at the eye and lay a smooth base to the bend. Tie in the silver tinsel rib, then the orange floss.
Wrap a slim, level floss body forward to the 85% mark, then rib with 5-6 evenly spaced turns of tinsel and tie off.
Tie in a sparse belly of white bucktail under the shank, extending just past the hook bend, with a golden pheasant crest curving upward beneath it.
Tie in 5-6 peacock herls flat along the underside/top as the underwing, the same length as the bucktail.
Tie a short throat of white hackle fibers under the head.
Marry the four green saddle hackles into two matched pairs, curves facing in, and tie the wing on top so it extends one gape length past the bend. The wing should ride low and hug the body like a swimming smelt.
Set a silver pheasant shoulder on each side covering the front third of the wing, add jungle cock cheeks, build a neat tapered head, whip finish, and lacquer.
