Bead Black bead (3mm classic tungsten)
Extra weight (tungsten wire)
Tail Pardo medio or flor de escoba (Coq de Leon barbs)

Coating Clear head cement (Perdigon UV resin, ultra-thin)
How to tie it
Bead the W633 with a 3mm black tungsten, then add several turns of tungsten wire behind it before starting the orange 14/0 thread. The wire is what makes this a genuine deep-water fly without fattening the body.
Tie in a short, stiff tail of Coq de Leon at the bend. Pardo medio or flor de escoba both work; you want the barbs to stay splayed and not collapse.
Tie in the Perdigon Skin strip at the bend and wrap it forward in tight, slightly overlapping turns to just behind the bead. Cut it at an angle before starting so the first turn tapers in cleanly rather than stepping up.
Tie off the skin, build a few turns of orange thread as a collar behind the bead, then whip finish.
Coat the whole body with ultra-thin UV resin and cure. Thin resin is the point on a deep-water perdigon: it seals and hardens the body while adding almost no diameter, so the fly keeps cutting through the current.
Fish it as the point fly on a Euro rig in deep, fast water.
