Tyer Recipe

• Hook curved scud/chironomid hook, #10-#16
• Thread gray 8/0

Materials

• tying thread body Gray thread (body)
• fine tinsel rib Silver oval tinsel (rib)
• bead Silver or black bead (1 (optional))
• gill material White uni stretch (small tuft (optional))

How to tie it

1. Slide a bead to the eye if used and start thread behind it, then wrap to the bend.
2. Tie in a fine silver rib at the bend.
3. Build a smooth slim gray thread body forward to behind the bead.
4. Counter-wrap the silver rib forward in even spirals and tie off.
5. Add a small white gill tuft at the head if desired, whip finish, and coat the body with UV resin.
