Debarb the Fulling Mill 1130, start the UTC Olive thread with a quick base, and wrap back a little past the barb so the tail sits into the curve.
Strip a small bunch of CDL Fibres with the tips aligned, measure against the shank (keep the tail short), and bind them in at the rear with a couple of wraps. Bind the butts forward to build a slight taper.
Tie in the Semperfli Tying Wire Small Brown on the near side, lay an even thread base back over it and forward again, and stop short of the eye to leave plenty of room for the thorax. Half hitch.
Rib the wire forward in five or six turns up to the thread and tie it off.
Cut a strip of Razor Foam .5 White a little narrower than the hook gap and tie it in at the front of the body with the tag pointing rearward.
Spin a sparse noodle of Hends UV ICE Dub - Brown and dub the thorax, leaving room behind the extreme down eye.
Tie in five or six fibres of emerger yarn as gills: cut a short length, halve and double it, square the ends, and catch it in long on the side of the shank underneath with a couple of wraps. Pull it through to length, add a couple more wraps to roll it under, and snip the butts off to the side so the stub does not block the eye.
Add a very light touch more UV ICE Dub with a couple of turns to clean up the tie-in.
Pull the Razor Foam forward over the thorax and secure it with a couple of light wraps. Fold it back rearward and take two wraps on top so it flares up, then snip it to the same length as the thorax.
