Granato's Truffle Shuffle

Nymph · Largemouth Bass · Smallmouth Bass · Panfish · Intermediate · 1 version

Reference Recipe

  • Hook Heavy-wire streamer hook, 2-6
  • Thread Grey or white 140-210 denier

Materials

  • Tail Grey over white (2 craft-fur clumps)
  • Flash Pearl/holographic flash (few strands)
  • Body Grey and white material (stacked craft-fur collars)
  • Head Grey over white (craft fur spun in a dubbing loop)
  • Eyes Yellow/red 3D eyes (1 pair, glued (optional))

How to tie it

  1. Mount the hook and lay a thread base over the rear third.
  2. Tie in a white craft-fur belly clump and a grey top clump for a baitfish tail about one and a half shank lengths long.
  3. Add a few strands of pearl flash the length of the tail.
  4. Work forward stacking reversed craft-fur collars, white on the belly and grey on top, packing each back to build a slim baitfish body.
  5. Spin a final craft-fur head in a dubbing loop and flare it, keeping the belly light and the back darker.
  6. Sweep all fibers back, whip finish, and trim the head to a tapered water-pushing shape.
  7. Glue on 3D eyes and seal the thread head.
