Tail flash Red Krystal Flash (4 strands, extending past bend)
Tail Gold/pearl Body Braid (3 doubled strands (top and sides))

How to tie it
Slide a gold tungsten bead onto the hook and lay a thread base.
At the bend, tie in 4 strands of red Krystal Flash extending about 3/8-1/2 inch past the bend as a hot tail.
Add the tail proper: three doubled strands of gold Body Braid on top and each side of the shank.
Behind the bead, tie in Mylar and wrap it down to the rear and back up (gold side out for the gold version, silver side out for the pearl version) to make a bright flashy body.
Switch to fire-orange thread behind the bead and tie in Body Braid, then apply it as a veil all the way around the fly (two to six doubled sections).
Pick the veil out with a dubbing needle, splitting the braid into single fibers so it forms a translucent, flashy collar/wing.
Whip finish behind the bead; the gold flash is the whole idea. It imitates a gold spinning lure.
