Body Golden brown/tan variegated (1 strand chenille (medium))
Legs Barred brown/tan rubber legs (3 pairs round rubber)
Antennae/Tails Barred brown/tan material (1 pair round rubber)
How to tie it
Slide the gold bead to the eye and mount the hook; start thread behind the bead.
Wrap 8-10 turns of lead-free wire over the front half, shove it snug to the bead, and lock it with thread to build a smooth underbody.
At the bend tie in a short tail set of barred rubber, splayed into a V no longer than one gap.
Bind in the chenille at the tail and advance the thread to just behind the bead.
Wrap the chenille forward in touching turns, pausing to figure-8 a pair of rubber legs at the one-third and two-thirds points so three pairs kick off the sides; tie off behind the bead.
Tie in a short antennae pair over the eye pointing forward, half a shank long.
Build a small thread collar, whip finish behind the bead, and trim all legs to roughly one shank length.
