Glow Yarn Egg

Reference Recipe

• Hook 1XS-1XL egg/scud hook, 8-14
• Thread Fluorescent pink or orange 6/0

Materials

• Egg body Glow/UV chartreuse or pink Glo-Bug yarn (McFlyfoam) (one clump)
• Veil Contrasting orange yarn (optional) (small pinch)

How to tie it

1. Mount the hook, start thread, and lay a short base at the middle of the shank.
2. Stack a clump of glow yarn across the top of the shank and take 3-4 firm turns through the center to flare the fibers evenly around.
3. Add an optional pinch of contrasting yarn on top as a veil and bind it at the same point.
4. Gather all fibers straight up, pinch into a ball, and snip flush with sharp scissors.
5. Roll the egg round between your fingers, whip finish, and clear the eye.
