  • Thread 6/0 to match fly color 6/0

Materials

  • Hook Curved shrimp/nymph hook like Tiemco TMC200, #4-6
  • Thread 6/0 to match fly color
  • Tail Calf tail to match fly color
  • Eyes Bead chain or burnt mono
  • Rib Gold oval tinsel, alternatively mono
  • Body Flash chenille, pink (alternatively orange, pale yellow, tan, gray or any desirable color)

How to tie it

  1. Start thread over hook point
  2. Tie in tail
  3. Tie in eyes
  4. Tie in rib
  5. Tie in flash chenille
  6. Take thread forward to hook eye
  7. Wrap chenille in touching turns
  8. Tie down and cut off surplus
  9. Rib the fly
  10. Tie down rib and cut off surplus
  11. Trim the chenille to a taper
