Tyer Recipe

  • Hook Dry/emerger, 14-16
  • Thread Olive 8/0

Materials

  • Body dubbing Olive/tan body dubbing (fine dubbing)
  • Wing Natural dun wing bud (one or two CDC feathers)

How to tie it

  1. Start the thread at the eye and lay a base to the bend.
  2. Dub a slim tapered body forward to about one-third behind the eye.
  3. Tie in a CDC feather swept back over the body as a low tent wing.
  4. Dub a small thorax at the head and build a neat head.
  5. Whip finish.
