Materials

  • Bead Gold bead (1 brass bead)
  • Tail Black ostrich herl (Marabou plume, one shank long)
  • Flash Pearl flashabou (Few strands Krystal Flash)
  • Body Black ostrich herl (Crystal/Estaz chenille)
  • Hackle Black hackle (1 saddle feather, palmered)

How to tie it

  1. Slide the gold bead to the eye, mount the hook and start the thread.
  2. Tie in a marabou tail one shank length long at the bend, with a few strands of pearl Krystal Flash over it.
  3. Tie in a saddle hackle by the tip and a length of crystal chenille at the bend.
  4. Wrap the crystal chenille forward to the bead for a sparkly body and bind.
  5. Palmer the hackle forward in 5-6 open turns and bind it behind the bead.
  6. Whip finish behind the bead.
